Guptar |
Guptar is a female fighter from the Hyoumas, a race of Tibetans
who has the ability to merge with animals and acquire their abilities.
The Hyoumas' power gives them one big problem; the baby of a pregnant
woman will merge with the mother before birth, which causes massive
brain damage as the Hyoumas can't merge with humans. Their only solution
was to become the Wu of the Triclops (with whom they had formed a
pact with), but when Benares got rid of all the Triclops 300 years ago
the Hyoumas began to die out. Pregnant herself, Guptar had attempted to
kidnap Pai and force her to somehow save their tribe from extinction.
Guptar helps Pai and Yakumo in their quest when they defeated Galga.

No Picture Galga Gaarhapatiyam |
The prince of the Hyoumas, he plots to rule the world, and having great ambitions, he had
intended to make himself Wu when Pai was captured. He had an
advisor, Kinkara, who was actually Benares when Galga found him
(or bits of him) after a fight with Parvati who blew him to pieces.
Galga was destroyed by Parvati, but he was later restored and
became the servant of Benares. He is adept with
the 'Fakir's Horns' (a traditional Indian melee weapon). He was once
Gupta's lover; Galga didn't really love her, though. She carried a baby
fathered by him, which Galga indirectly killed.
|
Haan Hazrat |
Shy and blond-haired, merchant from Pakistan dealing in all sorts of magical
items. Haan gave Yakumo the eggs of Tou-Chau and
Chin-Kuu provided that he introduces
a Japanese girl to him, who he believes are the most attractive
women in the world. Yakumo forgets all about this, so Haan came
looking for him, and instead falls in love with Ayanokouji Youko.
(He learned Japanese so he could meet Japanese girls, who he thinks are the
most attractive in the world.)
|
No Picture Kaiyanwan I |
Kaiyanwan I is the first Kaiyanwan, who had become ugly and
deformed from absorbing Triclop power to
prolong his life and energy. He usually absorbs the power of
Parvatis as they are the most powerful, and generations of them
had been brought up by Shiva and given to Kaiyanwan I. He became
human when NinkaNoJuutsu (the magic by which Triclops become
human) spun out of control, ending up transferring all his power
to Shiva.
|
No Picture Ganesha |
Ganesha is the Wu of Kaiyanwan I, and lost his status as Wu when
Kaiyanwan became human.
|
No Picture Parvati III |
Parvati III is the mother of Pai/Parvati IV, and in turn had a
multiple personality. She was brought up by Shiva and was to be offered
to Kaiyanwan I when he needed power, but as the gentle protectress
of the weak and the disadvantaged in the Triclop's hierarchy, everyone
tried to help her escape. She was captured despite their efforts, and
became human in the NinkaNoJuutsu ceremony. Her schizophrenia is seemingly
more advanced than Pai's -- a result of wearing Shiva's Claw (the creation
of the deformed Kaiyanwang).
|
Madourai |
The Wu of Parvati III, she gatecrashed the NinkaNoJuutsu ceremony
to save her master but ended up causing Shiva to become Kaiyanwan II.
She has a father/daughter relationship with Connery when he was
Benares' pupil and fell in love with Benares, Connery sealed
Benares out of jealousy of his daughter's affections.
However, the spell almost shattered his body, and after the incident
he lost all interest in magic and went to live in England as a rich
black market broker. He had a succession of daughters (some adopted)
since then, the current one being Meishing's friend Megan, who first
led Yakumo to him. He becomes Yakumo's teacher, leaving all his magical
powers to him when he was killed by Galga, including the spell used to
bind Benares.
|
Ushas |
This is it. The third Triclop needed for Pai to become human
by NinkaNoJuutsu. Ushas and her Wu, Amara, was sucked out to space by
years ago, but they survived with Ushas' magic.
Ushas, being lonely, set about creating a civilisation of women by
reanimating the corpses which occasionally float along. As she
continued to make new citizens of Amara with Raatori (the first
person she created), an accident with a failed experiment caused a deep scar to be etched on
her beautiful face, and she had hated and killed all the failed experiments in
Amara ever since. When the citizens of Amara rebelled against her for
her cruelty, she disappeared into Naraka (the base of Amara) and no one had
seen her since then. When she is rediscovered by Yakumo, she not only
declines to help him but locks him up. We can only assume Yakumo
is hopeless at convincing people.
|
Amara |
Amara is the Wu of Ushas; in order to keep his master alive in
space, he (this is gross) split up his body and used his insides as
a ball to enclose Ushas so that she may live. He lost all his
intelligence and "human nature" in the process, and now exists as one
big ball of flesh in space where the citizens of Amara lives in.
Amara's power is unimaginable; he creates a (lots of, actually) magical
guardian which has boundless energy and gave Yakumo (and everyone with
him) an unbearably hard time when they got into Naraka. He
also has the ability to capture Shuuma and use them against their
master.
|
No Picture Raatori |
Her crime was upsetting Ushas, and her punishment was to be sealed
in Naraka until someone comes to rescue her. Raatori was
the first being Ushas created, and protected the failed experiments
from Amara and Ushas with her power when Amara unleashed his power for
harming his master. She also led the rebellion against Ushas, in which
Ushas then disappeared and Raatori was captured and sealed away by
Amara. The citizens of Amara plots night and day to save Raatori, and
finally got their chance when Yakumo arrives. So where did Raatori
come from if she wasn't reanimated from a corpse? She is a clone of
Ushas and consequently also a Triclop.

in the english-dubbed anime, Jake MacDonald is portrayed as being an Australian,
but he is American in the manga.)

A powerful holy man that holds the key to the 'Seichi' (holy land).

promise to not leave the restaurant, no matter what relationship problems
he might have.
|
No Picture ??? |
The Asahi Shinbun newspaper journalist who wakes up one morning to
discover Pai in his apartment. He used to be in the social section, but
was sent to the cultural section because of his failure to get any big
scoops. His career is on the skids ... until he meets Pai.
|
No Picture Kinkara |

to find the third Sanjiyan. He has little time to waste, so he sends one
of his followers, Spazug, on a mission to stop Yakumo and Pai from
interfering. He uses mind-control on Ayanokouji in attempt to get her to
kill Yakumo.

(known as Kunio in the anime). Yakumo's friend also. The short one with the glasses.
|
No Picture Ken-Ken |

she looks normal sized, but in the manga she's kind of chunky. Ken-Ken wears
glasses and has short light brown hair. In 3x3 Eyes volume 5 she and Don-chan
become possessed by demonic dolls.
|
No Picture Don-chan (Domino-san) |
The other 'dachinko' of Ayanokouji Pai. Don-chan is tall and slender with long black hair. Gets possessed by one of the demon dolls from hell.
|
Ran Pao Pao |
Ran Pao Pao is yet another character with two forms. She is first introduced in the story as Chou Kai's body guard and servent. Despite Yakumo's newly found powers, he is no match for the powerful and lighting quick Ran Pao Pao. Ran Pao Pao's common form is that of a sweet looking, shy little girl. This is part of Ran Pao Pao'd deadly skill. At any time she can become a hugh, four-armed killer. Eventually, Pai's personality wins over Hong Nyang (Ran Pao Pao's less dangerous form). Chou Kai sacrifices Ran Pao Pao in order to destroy Pai, but at the last second Pai saves her. From that moment on, Hong Nyang realizes that she holds no importance to her master. Ran Pao Pao turns on her master in order to save Yakumo and Pai and becomes one of their most powerful allies.
