    Electrical and Electronic Engineering Courses

    ELEC100 History of Electronics

This course introduces the first-year student at Anime University to the entire history of electronics, from the first simple circuit to the beginnings of optical and flux electronics. This one-semester course is taught through hypno-teaching to cut down on the amount of time required to bring a student up to speed. There is a single computer-assisted examination to ensure that data retention from the hypnosis treatments is complete. This course is the prerequisite of almost all upper year engineering courses at Anime University.
    Prerequisites: None

ELEC101 Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Electronics

This two-semester course offers a complete understanding of electronics that are used in today's technology. Hypno-teaching provides all the background and memorization work, and lecturers will provide real-time problem solving situations for our students to put all that knowledge to good use. As leading edge technology keeps advancing, training material and hypno-tapes are always updated to keep our students abreast with today's technology.
    Prerequisites: ELEC101

    Engineering Physics Courses

EPHYS100 Basic Theoretical Physics for Engineers

A full-semester course which crams Newtonian, Relativistic and Chaos Theory into a student's brain through hypno-teaching and the latest in multi-dimensional visualisation techniques. At the end of the course, a student is expected to be able to theoretically (not like anyone's going to let a first year student do so) pilot a training mecha through wormholes, subspace rifts and dimensional jumps, as well as design fusion reactors during potty breaks.
Prerequisites: Elementary Physics in High School

EPHYS202 All you wanted to know about advanced physics

At the end of this course, the student will either be brain-fried or another Natsume Kyusaku/Hiroshi Ozora clone. A required class for MECHA666, this class completes the infantile teachings of EPHYS100 to make the student into a Physics genius.
    Prerequisites: EPHYS100

PHYS852 Subspace electronics design and fabrication

This course requires the student to immerse his entire brain into the complex and often impossible physics behind the fabrication of flux (subspace) electronics. Subspace mathematics and multi-dimensional calculations become second nature, and working out the equations for a Hyperpulse Generator is as easy as eating corn flakes for breakfast.
Prerequisites: PhD in Electronics Engineering or Masters in Flux Mechanics
Warning: This course requires whole-life commitment, as the student's brain is emptied of every shred of unecessary knowledge, essentially becoming a social vegetable. What the heck, with a 500 million NewYen annual salary and various other kickbacks, people interested in this field can live with being an outcast.

    Mechanical and Civil Engineering Courses

    MECH100 Basic Mechanical Engineering

This is the basic course in mechanical engineering, taught to first-year students through hypno-teaching. A computer-assisted examination is performed at the end of the semester to ensure that the student's knowledge of basic mechanics, thermodynamics and other mechanical engineering doodads are 100% retained.
    Prerequisites: None

    MECH200 Advanced Mechanical Engineering

This course covers whatever is left of Mechanical Engineering that an engineering student would need to know. This course would bring the student to the level of a doctorate at any other university.
    Prerequisites: MECH100

    Chemical and Biological Engineering Courses

    CHEM100 Basic Chemical Engineering

This is the basic course in chemical engineering, taught to first-year students through hypno-teaching. A computer-assisted examination is performed at the end of the semester to ensure that the student's knowledge of chemistry and chemical engineering is completely retained.
    Prerequisites: None

    BCHEM102 Basic Biochemistry

This is the basic course in biochemical engineering, taught to first-year students through hypno-teaching. A computer-assisted examination is performed at the end of the semester to ensure that the student's knowledge of basic to advanced biology and biochemistry is completely retained.
    Prerequisites: None

    CHEM200 Advanced Chemical Engineering

This course covers whatever is left of Chemical Engineering that an engineering student would need to know. This course would bring the student to the level of a doctorate at any other university.
    Prerequisites: CHEM100

    CHEM300 Hyper-advanced Chemical Engineering

A course open to only students that catch the eye of Professor Washuu Hakubi, this course brings the fourth and fifth dimensions of chemistry into play. Genetic alteration, advanced biochemistry and immortality drugs are the name of the day.
Prerequisites: CHEM100, CHEM200, approval by Prof. Washuu Hakubi

    CHEM323 Bio-chemical Engineering tricks

Want to mutate your pet hamster into something resembling Saotome Akane's cooking? Or give your hated enemy a nasty shock when he or she wakes up as a purple toothless mini T-rex? Then this class is for you. This is a zero credit class designed to enhance your Chemical Engineering skills and make you think.
    Prerequisites: CHEM100, CHEM200, BCHEM101

    Mecha Engineering Courses

    MECHA301 Theoretical Mecha Design

This course covers the basic theories behind mecha design, exploring the various successful designs in mecha engineering from the basic labour droid to the advanced "Gunbuster" and "Solniod" systems in use today in most advanced military units.
    Prerequisites: ELEC100, ELEC101, MECH100, MECH200, BCHEM102

    MECHA333 Powersuit Design

Powersuits, mini-mecha, hardsuits, call you what they will, but to the true engineering otaku these are the ultimate in orgxxm machines (especially when used by pretty teenaged girls wielding big guns). This course covers all that is needed to be a geeky dorklike powersuit technician. A special class by Mackie Stingray on "Optimal places to place vidcams in female power armour" is part of the syllabus, if he's not caught by his sister first.
    Prerequisites: ELEC100, ELEC101, MECH100, MECH200, BCHEM102

    MECHA315 Mecha Weapons Design

The subject of this course is self-explanatory. Engineering students are taught weapons design for mecha and powersuits for power efficiency, size and Oomph! Find out how B-ko packs hundreds of Akagiyama missiles in a slinky powersuit, or why Budweiser cans become lethal missiles against Zentraedi battlepods.
    Prerequisites: ELEC100, ELEC101, MECH100, MECH200, BCHEM102

    MECHA666 Mecha Design Project

This course is THE final examination for final year engineering students. The project is to design a mecha which must meet certain criteria. This final project is judged by the dean of Engineering as well as two high-level scientists from NERV for effectiveness against a simulated Angel, multiple waves of Quedran-lau mecha and A-ko Migami. If it survives, the student gets his degree in mecha engineering; if it doesn't, well, back to the drawing board.
Prerequisites: Every darn thing you've ever learned at Anime University
